A left-handed batter, Yastika is known for her solid technique and ability to build innings. She has the ability to
switch gears as and when the situation demands.
The young and confident Yastika Bhatia made an initial impact as a batter in domestic cricket at the age of 17 after smashing her maiden hundred (131 in 156 balls for Baroda U19 against Maharashtra U19) in Aurangabad in the Senior Women’s One day Trophy 2017/18. She made her debut in all three formats on the 2021-22 tour of Australia and impressed quickly. She finished as India's second-highest run-getter in her debut ODI series, with 102 runs from three innings, which included a solid knock of 64 (69) coming in at No. 3, which helped India chase down 265, their first successful 250-plus chase, and it helped halt Australia's world record winning streak of 26 consecutive ODI wins.
At just 23, Yastika has played Test cricket, has been a part of an ODI and T20 World Cups, and won a silver medal with Team India in the Commonwealth Games. She has a promising future ahead of her.
