After their bowlers had set up the game for Haryana, the N Saini and S Rohilla-led line-up ensured the team a first innings lead against Hyderabad.
Jalaj Saxena claimed a five-for to tip the balance in Kerala’s favour against Himachal in Kolkata while centuries by A Khare and A Chauhan set up the game for Chhattisgarh. Ram Dayal’s four-for to skittle Goa out for 77 in the first innings helped J &K seize the momentum.

Hyderabad vs Haryana in Jamshedpur: Hyderabad 1st inn 191/10 in 82.5 overs ( B Sandeep 44, K Sumanth 35, Y Chahal 6/44);Haryana 1st inn 236/4 in 95 overs (N Saini 61, S Rohilla 60, S Bishnoi 47*, M Siraj 2/37) Lead by 45 runs.
With a 126-run opening stand N Saini and S Rohilla set up the innings for Haryana in Jamshedpur. After Rohilla was castled by M Hassan for 60, 12 runs later Saini was trapped lbw by M Siraj. S Bishnoi then took the team to a 45-run first innings lead with an unbeaten 47 when play ended for the day.
Kerala vs Himachal in Eden Gardens, Kolkata: Kerala 1st inn 248/10 in 107.1 overs (S Baby 61, VA Jagadeesh 35, R Dhawan 4/66); HP 1st inn 198/8 in 56 overs (P Chopra 60, J Saxena 5/53) Trail by 50 runs
Rishi Dhawan (four-for) wrapped up the Kerala lineup for 248 after resuming on 163 for four on the second day. The HP captain finished with a four for as he led the attack against Kerala. However, while P Chopra worked to keep the HP innings in fray with a 60-run knock, Jalaj Saxena wrecked the lineup with a five-for. He set the ball rolling by catching Ankush Bains off his own bowling for 22 and continued to strike at regular intervals to put his team in an advantageous position.

Resuming on 228 for seven, Tripura were bowled out for 275 in the morning. Trapped lbw by D Pathania G Singh was first to be sent back while Raushan Raj accounted for R Dey while Rana Dutta was claimed by V Yadav.
Rana Dutta then returned to leave Services reeling on 32 for three with the wickets of Sudip Chatterjee and Nakul Verma while A Sarkar claimed Ravi Chauhan. S Yadav, who then came to the crease toiled to hold up one end as wickets continued to fall at regular intervals. He was batting on 71 with Raj Bahadur on 4 when play ended for the day and the team trailing by 73 runs with a wicket in hand.

Ram Dayal finished with a four for as J & K skittled Goa out for 77 in the first innings after resuming on 43 for five on the second morning. Building on the respectable first innings lead, Ian Dev Singh (64) and P Bisht (87) down the order ensured that J & K set the opposition a stiff target as Amit Yadav and A Pandrekar picked three each in an effort to curb the batsmen.
Chasing the 412-run target, Goa were 22 without loss in the second innings at stumps.

Resuming on 136, Amandeep Khare was sent back for 143 by Siva Kumar, while A Chauhan was trapped lbw by Bhargav Bhatt for 123. Although the lower half of the lineup returned without substantial contributions the centurions had helped Chhattisgarh post a respectable first innings score. Siva Kumar who accounted for Khare finished with a four-for.
The Pankaj Rao-led attack then helped the side maintain the advantage as they left Andhra on 151 for five at stumps on day 2.
