Goa skipper, Sagun Kamat milked Services attack en route his first, first-class triple hundred to put his team in an advantageous position.
Chhattisgarh took a marginal first innings lead even as Haryana pacers – Joginder Sharma and Harshal Patel ran through the lineup.
Iqbal Abdullah’s unbeaten 157 helped Kerala to a massive first innings score against Hyderabad while Tripura’s MB Murasingh returned to strike with the ball after posting vital runs on the board against Himachal.
D Siva Kumar and Bhargav Bhatt picked four-wicket hauls each while Bandeep Singh helped J & K to a competitive total.

Hyderabad vs Kerala in Bhubaneshwar: Kerala 1st inn 506/9 in 180 overs (I Abdullah 157*, Sachin Baby 80, M Hassan 3/134)
While overnight batsman Sachin Baby departed for 80 after taking Kerala past the three figure mark with Iqbal Abdullah, the lower order batsman continued to pile on runs for his new team. He found an able supporter in K Monish who scored 40 off 152 balls as he helped build on the innings. The pair added 141 for the eighth wicket until Monish was bowled by Ravi Kiran. Iqbal continued to milk the opposition and went past his previous first-class best of 150 not out.
Iqbal was batting on 157 with Sandeep Warrier on one end as he took the team to stumps to a mammoth 506 for nine.

Chhattisgarh pulled off a narrow 11-run first innings lead even as Joginder Sharma and Harshal Patel ran through the lineup. Opener S Gupta top-scored for the team with a crucial 78 as they looked to overhaul Haryana’s first innings total.
Patel claimed overnight batsman Ashutosh Singh without letting him add to his score on the second morning and followed up with the wicket of captain Mohammed Kaif to leave Chhattisgarh on 80 for three. He finished with a four-wicket haul as they bowled the opposition out for 189, while Sharma’s five-for to his tally of five-wicket hauls in first-class cricket to 20.
Haryana were then left struggling on 35 for three by Pankaj Rao, but H Rana and RP Sharma steadied the innings. In an unbroken 86-run stand they took the team to stumps at 121 for three.
Himachal vs Tripura in Kalyani: Tripura 1st inn 549/10 in 162.2 overs (MB Murasingh 84, G Singh 79, M Dagar 5/138); HP 1st inn 50/1 in 15 overs (A Bains 28*, MB Murasingh 1/10) Trail by 499 runs.
When play resumed on the second morning, Smit Patel was sent back on his overnight score of 11 by P Jaiswal while Mayank Dagar followed up with the wicket of Chowdery and Yashpal Singh a while later. However, captain MB Murasingh’s 84 and G Singh’s 79 lower down the order helped Tripura to a massive 549 before being bowled out. Dagar finished with a five-for in the innings.
A Bains then took Himachal to stumps at 50 for one with N Gangta.

Resuming on his overnight score of 177, captain Sagun Kamat powered Goa to a mammoth 606 with an unbeaten triple century before declaring the innings. He was ably supported by the middle-order as he posted his maiden triple ton to put his team in a commanding position.
R Singh then claimed Services’ opener A Singh for four to give his side an early breakthrough. Sudip Chatterjee and Ravi Chauhan then saw the team through to the end of day’s play.

Resuming on the overnight score of 14, Bandeep Singh rallied on, on the second day to help add vital runs to Jammu and Kashmir’s first innings total. He scored 63 off 201 while Ram Dayal 42 off 115 as they ensured the team a competitive first innings score. Useful contributions by batsmen down the order helped J & K post 334 before being bowled out later in the day. D Siva Kumar and Bhargav Bhatt finished with four-wickets each as they claimed the last four J & K wickets between them.
Umar Nazir and Parvez Rasool then claimed two wickets upfront to leave Andhra on 72 for two at stumps on the second day.
