Vignesh K’s three wickets at the top, followed by L Vignesh (two wickets) and A Srinivas’ (four-for) helped bowl Tamil Nadu to a massive win against Baroda in the ongoing round of Ranji Trophy 2016-17.
After conceding the first innings lead, Siddarth Kaul (six wickets) helped skittled UP out for 95 and put Punjab in an advantageous position. The Yuvraj Singh-led team need 51 runs to win.
Vijay Gohil helped Mumbai enforce a follow on against Railways with his maiden five-wicket haul in his fourth first-class match.

After Railways resumed their innings on 76 for three, Vijay Gohil bowled Arindam Gosh to give his side their first wicket of the day with the opposition on 96. With the overnight partnership broken, the Mumbai attack then wrecked the lineup to bowl the team out for 160 and enforce the follow on. Gohil bagged his maiden five-for while, Shardul Thakur and BS Sandhu picked two wicket each to skittle the opposition out for 160.
Following on, Railways were left on 38 for two by Tushar Deshpande early in the innings. Gohil then followed up with the wicket of opener Saurabh while Siddhesh Lad claimed Gosh a while later. At stumps, Railways were 135 for four with F Ahmed and N Bhille in the middle.

Trailing by 200 runs, Baroda resumed their second innings on 44 without loss on the penultimate day and were bowled out for 200 in the afternoon. TN pacers - Vignesh K, L Vignesh - picked five wickets between them and left-arm spinner, Aushik Srinivas took four to bowl the team to a thumping win.
Vignesh K claimed three of the top four batsmen including stand-in captain Deepak Hooda while L Vignesh and Srinivas wrapped up the Baroda line up. While batsmen caved in to the Baroda attack, opener Kedar Devdhar scored 49 while Soaeb Tai lower down the order put up resistance. The lower middle-order bat was not out on 69 off 60 balls when he ran out of partners.

19 wickets fell on the third day of the match in Hyderabad as Punjab and UP battled on. After resuming on 244 for three, Punjab were bowled out for 319 on Day 3 in the first innings. After resuming his innings on 72, Yuvraj Singh was the first to be sent back, by I Ahmed for 85 leaving the team on 262 for four. Gurkeerat Mann and overnight batsman Mandeep Singh followed him back to the pavilion and wickets continued to tumble. Saurbah Kumar finished with a four-for in the innings while Ahmed and Ankit Rajpoot picked three apiece to bowl Punjab out for 319 and secure a 16-run first innings lead.
However, Siddarth Kaul then skittled UP out for a mere 95 runs to keep Punjab in the reckoning. He claimed six wickets while Sandeep Sharma and Mann took a wicket each.
Then, with a 112-run target to chase, Manan Vahora and Jiwanjot Singh came out to the middle. While Vohra was trapped lbw by Saurabh, night watchman Sandeep was sent back by Kuldeep for zero. Jiwanjot then took the team to stumps with Udit Kaul. Punjab need 51 runs to win on the last day.
