The Under 19, Vinoo Mankad one-day tournament witnessed Andhra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu post wins against Kerala, Hyderabad and Goa respectively.
Tamil Nadu were the first to canter to a seven-wicket win in the low-scoring game in Vizag against Goa. R Sai Kishore claimed four for 12 while S Aravind picked three for four to bundle Goa out for a paltry 70 and set-up the match for their team. TN then chased down the dismal target in less than a dozen overs.
Defending 172 runs, V Vyshak (4/29) and S Chethan (4/41) bowled Karnataka to three-run win against Hyderabad at the Vizzy Stadium.
Led by opener Maheep Kumar’s 70 and half-centuries by the middle-order, Andhra made 312 for six to set Kerala a stiff target. While Daryl SF made 83 and opener Rohan Kunnummal scored 78, the rest of the line-up caved in to the Andhra attack and lost the game by 23 runs.
