Taskin ruled out of India tour with side strain

Taskin ruled out of India tour with side strain

Taskin Ahmed has been ruled out of Bangladesh A’s tour of India after suffering a side strain during the first one-day game in Bengaluru. To replace the fast bowler, Kamrul Islam Rabbi has been called up to join the Bangladesh A squad.

Taskin only bowled one spell of five overs in the one-dayer, during which he dismissed India A captain, Unmukt Chand. He did come to bat as Bangladesh A struggled in their 323-run chase, but was dismissed lbw first ball. He was the last man to fall as India A won the match by 96 runs.

Taskin’s replacement, Rabbi, is a 23-year-old right-arm pacer. He has 15 wickets from 11 List A matches in the 2014-15 season and 21 first-class wickets at an average of 54.47.
