Brendon McCullum registered his third duck in NZ’s ODIs as captain. With this he equaled John Wright and Daniel Vettori’s tally of ducks as captain. Now only Stephen Fleming (14) is ahead of McCullum.

The only other time this happened was in India-England ODI at Bangalore in 2008 when England – despite scoring 178/8 against India’s 166/4 – went on to lose the match by 19 runs.
