We collect and why, how we use it, and how to review and update it.Mumbai, Jul 16: Sri Lanka have announced a 15-man squad for the five-match One-Day International series against India set to begin July 21. Left-arm fast bowler Isuru Udana, batsman Chamara Kapugedara and left-arm spinner Rangana Herath are the prominent names in the Sri Lanka side.
Udana, 24, has played six T20Is, but is yet to debut for Sri Lanka in ODIs. Kapugedera averages just over 20 in ODIs and last played for Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup in March. Herath, on the other hand, played the first two ODIs of the five-match series against Pakistan but was rested for the final three ODIs.
Fast bowlers Dilhara Fernando and Nuwan Pradeep, and spinner Sajeewa Weerakoon - who came in as a replacement for Herath - are the players missing from the squad that was named for Sri Lanka’s series against Pakistan. Mahela Jayawardene will lead the Sri Lanka side with Angelo Mathews serving as deputy.
India will play five One-Day Internationals and one solitary T20 International on their tour to Sri Lanka.
