We collect and why, how we use it, and how to review and update it.Brisbane, July 28: India Emerging Players encountered mixed results in the Emerging Players' Tournament on Wednesday after losing to the South Africa Emerging Players by four wickets and beating Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) by six runs later in the day.
India lost their opening match of the day against South Africa Emerging Players after a late burst from Temba Bavuma. In a thrilling finish, South Africa reached their target off the last ball of the match to beat India by four wickets. An unbeaten 31-ball 57 including four huge sixes from Temba Bavuma saved South Africa the blushes. Jaidev Unadkat was the most successful bowler with three wickets.
Put in to bat, India scored 156 for the loss of six wickets in their quota of 20 overs. S Aniruddha top-scored with 45 off 33 balls with six boundaries and two sixes while Saurabh Tiwary contributed 40 off 32 balls with one boundary and four sixes.
The Indians, however, came back strongly during their evening match when they defeated AIS by six runs. The Indians managed 151 from 19.3 overs after opting to bat with contributions from Manoj Tiwary (36 runs), Saurabh Tiwary (29) and Ambati Rayudu (30).
AIS were unable to chase down the modest target of 152 runs in the Twenty20 match and were all-out for 145 in 19.5 overs. Left-arm spinner Iqbal Abdulla and pacer R Vinay Kumar picked three wickets apiece.
India now have two wins from three matches in the tournament.
