East Zone will take on Central Zone in the final of the 2011-12 edition of the Duleep Trophy, at Indore, from 12 February 2012 to 16 February 2012.
Central Zone beat South Zone on first-innings lead in the semi-final, played at Chennai. East Zone beat North Zone on first-innings lead in the second semi-final, played at Delhi.
The final is set to be an absorbing encounter, with both sides eager to enhance their respective Duleep Trophy records. While Central Zone have won the title four times and have shared it once (with West Zone in 1997-98), East Zone are yet to open their account in the competition.
