Sharma skipped the team practice on Tuesday and is likely to be fit in time for the Test that starts on Thursday, according to Honorary BCCI secretary, Sanjay Jagdale. "Ishant Sharma has got viral fever. He is expected to be fit for the first Test between India and England. However, Ashok Dinda has been told to fly to Ahmedabad as a standby," Jagdale said.
Dinda is currently with his state team, Bengal, for the ongoing Ranji Trophy.
