India Emerging Players eye innings win

 

Townsville, Aug 13: Saurabh Tiwary, Ajinkya Rahane and Ashok Menaria scored centuries to propel India Emerging Players to 534 with an overall lead of 329 runs against Australian Institute of Sports (AIS) in the concluding three-day cricket match of the Emerging Players meet at the Endeavour Park here.
 
After dismissing AIS for 205, the Indian top-order responded with significant contributions.
 
AIS, in their second essay, were 93 for two, requiring 236 runs to avoid an innings defeat.
 
Saurabh Tiwary scored 151 runs off 148 balls, including 14 fours and seven hits over the ropes. 
 
Manoj Tiwary (59) and Manish Pandey (66) scored fifties building on Rahane's 100 and Menaria's 112 that gave the visitors a solid platform.
