We collect and why, how we use it, and how to review and update it.Mumbai claimed the remaining two Vidarbha wickets in less than 25 minutes on the last morning to clinch a 338-run win over the visitors.
Already reeling on 117 for eight when they resumed their second innings on the fourth day, it was only a matter of time before Vidarbha would be bowled out. With the eighth wicket falling on the last ball of the third day, Akshay Wakhare took guard opposite Shrikant Wagh and the duo extended the match by a few overs.
After posing a few questions early on, it was in the sixth over of the day that Shardul Thakur struck to wrap up the match for Mumbai. Wakhare gloved a short ball from Thakur to Aditya Tare behind the stumps to walk back for seven. And two balls later, the pacer disrupted Sandeep Singh’s woodwork to claim his maiden four-wicket haul. With Wagh stranded on 41, Vidarbha were bowled out for 191 at the Wankhede Stadium.
Mumbai’s third victory of the season gives them six points for an outright win, while Vidarbha don’t get any points from this match.
