Match report: Ind vs Aus – 3rd Test, Day 1

Rain played spoilsport on Day 1 of the third Test between India and Australia, at the Punjab Cricket Associations Stadium. Play was called off without the toss taking place.

Although it had stopped raining for a while in the morning after a heavy downpour through the night and into the wee hours today, it started to drizzle later in the day again. With the weather refusing to let up, play had to be called off later in the afternoon.

Play is expected to start at 9:00 am for the next four days to make up for lost time on Day 1.
