We collect and why, how we use it, and how to review and update it.Despite their loss in the fifth and final ODI, Team India won the series against England by a 3-2 margin. The hosts’ campaign was fuelled by Suresh Raina, who ended up winning his first ever Man of the Series award. The southpaw seemed invincible as he brought up a half-century in each of the four innings he played against England.
Raina also went past the 4000-run mark during today’s match and is now the 13th Indian batter to get past this milestone in ODIs. Here are these and many more stats highlights from today’s game:
- The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala became the 43rd Indian ground to host an ODI.
- Suresh Raina, when on 15, completed his 4000 runs in one-day internationals. He became the 85th batsman in the world and the 13th Indian to accomplish this feat. He is the fourth Indian left-hander, after Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir to do so.
- Raina’s 83 was his fourth consecutive fifty in ODIs. He thus equalled the Indian record of most consecutive ODI fifties against England. Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni shared this record previously.
