Raipur, Jan 30: Chattisgarh have won the 2012 Under-16 Associated & Affiliated Members Tournament defeating Arunachal Pradesh by nine wickets in the final in Raipur.
Fielding first, Chattisgarh restricted Arunachal to 155 for seven in their 50 overs. Netaji Malik made the lone substantial contribution with 54 runs for Arunachal, hitting nine boundaries. Farhan Firoze took four wickets in nine overs for Chattisgarh giving away 28 runs.
The chase was a canter for Chattisgarh as Ajay Mandal cruised to an 86-ball 100 with the help of 13 fours and a six. Hemendra Yadav scored 51 off 91 balls, hitting five boundaries.
